Biography
Chelsea Prax, MPH, CPH, is a Black mother of two beautiful Black children and leads AFT Children’s Health and Well-Being programs. She works for, with, and through the unionized education workforce to improve the lives of kids and families. Her recent work includes elevating mandated support to strengthen schools as sites of effective child maltreatment prevention and intervention; amplifying the power of Medicaid as the nation's largest children's health insurance program and funder of school health services; and championing the role of play in resilience and healing.
